This is the site for the 2015-16 TSST course for the North-Mids and Peaks Maths Hub. It will contain resources and links intended for course members only.

This GeoGebraTube file, diagram below, shows movement around unit circle as well as motion of vertical component.
Tangrams and fractions
Fractions work includes files for Tangrams. Great fun folding to make the 7 shapes following screens here. Find the area of each shape (proving it) as a fraction: original square has area 1 unit. Then make silhouette shapes from all 7 pieces without overlap.

Mastery and fractions at KS2
These booklets are for KS1 and KS2 and contain material for assessment of mastery. This file only includes all the fraction elements (as well as address for all the booklets). Useful to see what is expected in year 6.

Any Geoboard, real or virtual, or dotty paper can be used to support the understanding of combining fractions.

The Math-aids site has some good resources that you can generate for yourself and your classes – including this page on geometric constructions in the Geometry menu. Note that this has many adverts which can be removed by following the adblock link below, selecting the correct version for your computer and browser and then installing it. It also has the advantage of speeding up downloads and access to websites as (most/all) adverts are blocked.

Activities from day 1
First column will give you the pdf file (which just shows the pages, no interaction); second column the Inspire flipchart with full interaction and third column gives notebook which will have full interaction but pages will look a mess (since positioning etc will be correct but all objects and files will be there.
